Southern inspired brunch restaurant is opening its 10th in Lafayette (New Orleans). It’s officially opening its door on Jan 21, partnering with Lafayette Chamber of Commerce.

Comptoir Group CEO resigns, two board member resign    

Nick Ayerst is planning to resign from role as CEO effective end of February 2025. Previous CEO Chaker Hanna will fill in the role for CEO. Company’s executive team and board team will not control 66% of the shares.  Jean-Michel Orieux  and Ali Aneizi  are resigning from their role as independent director/chairman.

Jollibee opens it’s first Tiong Bahru Bakery  

Two years after signing franchise rights, Jollibe Group opened first Tiong Bahru Bakery in Philippines. It is the first international branch of the bakery brand. Food Collective, Pet. Ltd owns 40% of join venture and Jollibee Group owns 60% of the joint venture.

FAT Brands opens tri-branded location   

FAT Brands is opening its co-branded location of Pretzelmaker, Great American Cookies, and Marble Slab Creamery. This might be part of its strategy for growth. Considering the number of brands it owns, it is possible to grow this way but it comes with high risk of brand dilution. It has been busy week for FAT brands, from donating to fire victims in LA to Twin Peaks going public

Vietnamese chain Three O’Clock plans to expand in South Asia   

Vietnamese coffee chain that expand to South Asia, starting with India in May 2025. Currently it has 10 outlets across Vietnam. All of its outlets offer 24 hours service.

Mellody Hobson will not stand for reelection    

Starbucks director has planned not to stand for reelection at 2025’s annual meeting of shareholders. She will continue serving remainder of term. She was previously chairwomen of Starbucks from March 2021 to September 2024.
