McDonald’s announced that its board of director John J Mulligan will resign from its board. He is director of McDonald’s since 2015. Mr. Mulligan was previously Executive Vice President / COO in Target.

Brian Niccol’s new vision for Starbucks support team  

Busy week for Starbucks, just three days ago it announced it’s no loitering policy. Now Brian Niccol (CEO), announced new vision for its support organization. Basically from what i could understand, there might be some lay offs in starbucks support division. More detail about the changes will be announced in march. It will not impact the in-store team.  From my reading, this letter is warning shot to the support team there will be changes, be ready.

Togo’s is offering incentives for franchisee  

TOGO’s announced that new development inventive program. Among other things, it provides 50% discount on initial franchise fee, 50% off franchise royalties with possibility of 0% royalties for period of time. It is part of sandwich franchise's growth strategy.

Freddy’s announced deal for 15 new locations

Company announced that it will open 15 new locations based on agreement with three different franchisee. 3 new locations by THR Hospitality near Omaha, 7 new locations by Kyle and Vicki Sedivec in North Dakota, A2SI Group will open 5 new locations in Maryland.
