Japan’s First Real Ramen in a Vending Machine

Melt Bar & Grilled Shuts Down Post-Bankruptcy
Once a popular destination for gourmet grilled cheese lovers, Melt Bar & Grilled, which operated over 13 locations, has permanently shut its doors. It filed for bankruptcy in June 2024. Owner Max Fish announced the closure via Facebook, marking another casualty in a challenging year for the restaurant industry, which also saw bankruptcies from (among many others) Red Lobster and TGI Fridays.
TGI Fridays Bankruptcy Court Approves Sale of Nine Locations
Speaking of TGI Fridays, Dallas bankruptcy court has approved the sale of nine corporate-owned TGI Fridays locations for $34.5 million to MERA, a Mexican company. The deal includes four locations in Maryland and five at Dallas-Fort Worth Airport. On same note, Roy Blanchette was tapped to manage the TGI Fridays locations.
